Who are You Encouraging?

By Dionna Sanchez

We hear a lot about how we need to take care of ourselves. That's important. If we take care of ourselves we feel renewed and recharged. But I think we often overlook an important way we can help someone else while also helping ourselves. That way is by encouragement.

When was the last time you took the focus off of yourself to encourage someone else? I can't tell you how great it feels to be a blessing to another human life. It is one of the greatest "charges" you will ever feel!

If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, consider someone who might have more on their plate than you do. Offer some encouragement their way. You will be an example to your children when you do. You will also be helping someone who really needs it. Y ou will feel renewed in the process.

There is no greater sense of renewal than the feeling that comes from knowing you have bettered a life and that you can do it again.

Every life needs more encouragement. Why don't you be the one that gets the ball rolling?

~Dionna Sanchez loves to be an encourager. She offers encouragement to moms with Emphasis On Moms at http://www.EmphasisOnMoms.com
